What is Aadhaar KYC (Offline)?
Aadhaar offline KYC (OKYC) verification allows Aadhaar number holders to voluntarily use it for establishing their identity in various places electronically and paperless while still maintaining privacy and security. The customer identity is verified using encrypted Aadhaar card data stored in an XML file containing details like name, date of birth, gender, and address. Customers can set up a 4-digit access code that can be used to unlock the contents of this file.
The individual can request and generate the XML file from UIDAI's website or authorized service providers. The file is securely shared with the entity requiring verification, who validates it using UIDAI's digital signature.
