What is KRA?
SEBI has mandated the use of standard KYC by all SEBI registered intermediaries in an effort to introduce uniformity to the KYC criteria for the securities markets. The SEBI "KYC (Know Your Client) Registration Agency (KRA)", Regulations, 2011, have been released in this regard.
KRA enables the digitization and centralization of KYC records in the securities industry.
The customer must provide the necessary documentation, including the KYC Registration form, in order to create an account, trade, or engage with the SEBI-registered intermediary. The intermediary must complete the initial KYC and upload the information to the KYC Registration Agency's (KRA) database. While working with the same customer, all SEBI Registered Intermediaries have access to this KYC information. As a result, once the client has done KYC with a SEBI registered intermediary, he need not undergo the same process again with another intermediary.
Digio’s KRA registry API can be used to check status, fetch details or submit details to the KRA.
What do you get?
Easy way to fetch, download and push data to KRA without additional hassle needed from your end.
