The GENERIC step is a placeholder for any file to be uploaded without OCR or validation. It can have the addons of USER_CONSENT, USER_INSTRUCTION and GEOTAGGING.
The generic step is used when a user needs to do one or more of the following:
- Provide consent to certain terms
- Upload a supporting document for KYC (e.g. Bank Statement),
For example, Consent for FATCA and uploading a non-image file for Bank Statement could be a possible use for a GENERIC step.
